The European Union (EU) has adopted the 14th package of sanctions against Russia, which affected 116 individuals and legal entities.
As reported by Report, this is stated in a statement by the Council of the EU.
According to Report, which cites the EU Council's statement, the new restrictions concern the transit of Russian LNG through European ports.
Under the new restrictions, the EU will continue to purchase LNG from Russia, but will ban its re-export.

The European Union is set to begin working on the 15th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation immediately after the adoption of the 14th package, according to Report, which cites the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The 14th sanctions package, currently under consideration, is expected to blacklist 69 individuals and 47 organizations from Russia.
The sanctions will also target Russia's liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports for the first time.
