EU foreign ministers approve more military aid to Ukraine

The foreign ministers of 27 EU states approved an increase of 3.5 billion euros in the volume of the European Peace Facility, the EU Council said in a statement.

Report informs via TASS that through this facility Brussels allocates money for arms supplies to Ukraine.

The EU Foreign Affairs Council today will today approve the expansion of European military assistance to Ukraine, head of the EU foreign service Josep Borrel said at the meeting of the EU foreign ministers, Report informs via TASS.

Today the council will approve an increase in military assistance to Ukraine - an additional 3.5 billion euros, he said.

Borrell also argued that it's more important than ever to expand this aid because he believes that what happened this weekend [in Russia] is destroying Russian power and affecting its political system.
