EU foreign ministers to mull situation in Afghanistan on August 17

EU High Representative Josep Borrell has confirmed that the foreign ministers of the EU member countries will hold an extraordinary videoconference on August 17 to assess the situation in Afghanistan, Report informs referring to TASS.
Earlier, Agence France-Presse, citing diplomatic sources, reported that the foreign ministers of the EU countries plan to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.
Many European countries are evacuating their citizens from Afghanistan, reducing staff in diplomatic missions, and a number of them are closing embassies.
