Ebola deaths in DR Congo, Uganda exceed 1,000

The death toll from Ebola fever in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda has exceeded 1,000, Report informs, citing the World Health Organization.
According to the WHO, the number of deaths in DR Congo has reached 999, while two more deaths have been recorded in Uganda.
Laboratory tests have confirmed 2,473 infection cases in DR Congo and 20 in Uganda.
According to the WHO, a total of 501 people have recovered in the two countries. The fatality rate is about 40%.
