Ebola death toll in Congo rises to 967

To date, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has recorded 2,423 confirmed Ebola cases across five provinces - Haut-Uele, Ituri, North Kivu, South Kivu, and Tshopo, according to the country's Ministry of Communication and Media, Report informs.
The ministry stated that 734 patients remain in isolation or hospital care, 469 have recovered, and 967 have died, bringing the fatality rate to 39.9%.
"Measures to combat the disease are being strengthened. Medical teams continue epidemiological monitoring and provide assistance to prevent further spread," the statement noted.
