​Defense Minister Raimonds Vejonis became the new president of Latvia

Baku. 4 June. REPORT.AZ/ Seimas (Parliament) of Latvia could elect a new president of the republic on the fifth attempt. 

Defense Minister Raimonds Vejonis became the new president of Latvia, Report informs citing Russian media. 

His candidacy was supported by 55 deputies out of 100 in a secret ballot.
