Death toll in Indonesia prison fire rises to 44

The death toll from the fire in prison in Tangerang, a city in the Banten province of Indonesia, reached 44 people on Thursday, the country's Minister of Law and Human Rights, Yasonna Laoly, said.
Report informs, citing Agence France-Press, that the fire erupted early Wednesday morning and quickly spread around the prison. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of ignition. According to one of the versions, the fire could have been caused by flaws in the outdated power grid.
