The total number of earthquake victims in Haiti increased to 2,207 people, more than 12 thousand people were injured. Also, as a result of a natural disaster, more than 100 thousand buildings in the region were destroyed.
An earthquake in Haiti with a magnitude of 7.2 occurred on August 14. The epicenter of the tremors was located eight kilometers from the settlement of Petit Tru de Nip, and the focus lay at a depth of ten kilometers. According to UNICEF, the disaster affected 1.2 million people, including 540,000 children.
