An outbreak of the highly pathogenic strain of avian influenza H5N8 was recorded in the backyard of one of the residents of the Podoli village near Benesov, located about 50 km south of Prague in the Central Bohemian Region in the Czech Republic, Report informs, referring to TASS.
The bird flu has killed 25 chickens.
Veterinarians will slaughter the remaining 20 chickens and six ducks on February 3 in compliance with the necessary epidemic safety rules of the country's Ministry of Agriculture.
