The highest number of infections was registered in the United States (5,612,027), Brazil (3,363,235), and India (2,703,517).
As of August 17, Azerbaijan has recorded 34,343 coronavirus cases, 32,042 of them recovered. The number of deaths in our country is 508.

In Iran, 345,450 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. According to the latest information, 19,804 were victims of the pandemic in the country. The total number of people infected with the coronavirus in neighboring Georgia has reached 1,351, while 485 of them have already recovered, and 12 died.
So far, 41,701 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Armenia. Although 34,655 of them recovered, 824 died.
The coronavirus infection began to spread in December last year in the Chinese city of Wuhan. The World Health Organization (WHO) named the infection COVID-19 on February 11 and declared the coronavirus pandemic on March 11.
