Colombia sees peak in daily COVID mortality

Colombia's Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported 440 coronavirus-related deaths on Saturday, the country's highest daily death rate, Report informs, citing the ministry’s tweet.
The previous peak was recorded on April 22 (430 cases).
On April 24, Colombian medical specialists confirmed the recovery of 18,038 patients, 16,730 new cases and 440 COVID-related deaths.
As a result, the country’s total COVID tally reached 2,757,274. As many as 2,573,657 people have recovered from the disease in the South American country, while the death toll hit 70,886.
