China's 25 provinces issue red alert over coronavirus outbreak

China's 25 provinces with a population of more than 1.2 billion people have issued a red health alert, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.

The red alert is usually announced in critical situations and public safety emergencies. It provides for the local government to respond in line with the plan of China's State Council and centralized staff.

China has already reported 1,330 confirmed cases of infection with the new type of coronavirus (2019-nCoV).
