China reports 29 coronavirus cases among foreign nationals

29 foreign nationals have been tested positive with the new coronavirus in China. Of those affected, 18 have already recovered and were discharged from hospitals, RIA Novosti quotes the Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council, Ding Xiangyang, as saying.

Two foreigners died, and nine continue treatment.

Xiangyang stressed that the Chinese side seeks to ensure the safety of life and health of foreign nationals in China, and promptly reports confirmed cases of infection to embassies and consulates of all relevant countries. Moreover, the Chinese Foreign Ministry and other agencies do not reveal the citizenship of those infected.
