China may defeat coronavirus in March

China's Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui said at a meeting with First Deputy Speaker of State Duma Ivan Melnikov that Chinese authorities will be able to defeat coronavirus throughout the country until the end of March.

"We can root out this virus. Besides Hubei, we can defeat the disease in other regions this month. And at the center of the outbreak, we will probably eliminate this virus in China during the next month."

According to him, 99% of the cases were recorded in China.

Hanhui said: "To date, more than 18,000 people have been discharged from hospitals. In Hubei, especially in Wuhan, the number of infected people is decreasing."
