China has donated one million doses of COVID-19 vaccines and 1.6 million syringes to Afghanistan to counter the spread of the coronavirus in the country, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti that Ambassador to China Javid Ahmad Qaem said it.

“China donated one million vaccines of COVID-19 to Afghanistan. Today morning, I received this batch on behalf of the people of Afghanistan at Beijing airport and sent it to Kabul. It also includes 1.6 million syringes. It is worth mentioning that more donations are coming,” Qaem tweeted.

In early August, the Taliban stepped up their offensive against the Afghan government forces, entered Kabul on August 15, and announced the next day that the war was over. The last two weeks of August from the Kabul airport, which was under the protection of the US military, there was a mass evacuation of Western citizens and Afghans, who collaborated with them.
