Charles Michel discusses situation in Uzbekistan with Shavkat Mirziyoyev

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, had a telephone conversation, Report informs.

"Reiterated EU's committed to further deepening cooperation, also on basis of our upcoming EPCA to the Uzbek President. Stressed appreciation for Uzbekistan's role in Afghanistan in preventing the country becoming a safe haven for terrorism. Inquired about the latest developments in Karakalpakstan," Charles tweeted.
