Charles III: UK, Germany jointly protect sovereignty of Ukraine

The UK and Germany stand shoulder to shoulder when it comes to protecting Ukraine’s sovereignty, King Charles III of UK said at a gala dinner in Berlin on the first day of his official visit to Germany, Report informs referring to the BBC.

He told his German hosts that “we stand side by side in protecting and advancing our shared democratic values” in defending Ukraine from “unprovoked aggression”.

The King said he wanted to pay particular tribute to Germany’s “extraordinary hospitality” in taking in over a million Ukrainian refugees.

This is the first foreign visit of Charles III since his accession to the throne in September last year.
