Brazil accuses Venezuela of terrorism and creation of criminal groups

Baku. 18 Jan. REPORT.AZ/ Brazilian authorities have accused the authorities of Venezuela of the creation of organized criminal groups.

Report informs citing the TASS that the due statement came from the Foreign Ministry of the Latin American country following the meeting of the Brazilian Foreign Minister Ernest Araujo with representatives of the Venezuelan opposition.

"The regime, which is headed by (Venezuelan President - ed.) Nicolas Maduro, is a mechanism of an organized criminal community. It is based on corruption, drug trafficking, human trafficking, money laundering and terrorism," Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Notably, Araujo received ex-speaker of Parliament of Venezuela, Julio Borges, a former mayor of Caracas Antonio Ledezma and the so-called Chairman of the Supreme court in exile, Miguel Ángel Martín in the Brazilian capital. As stated in the statement of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, the meeting discussed measures to restore democracy in Venezuela.

Earlier, the Venezuelan Parliament declared Maduro a usurper.
