Belarusian diplomat summoned to Foreign Affairs Ministry in Romania

The Belarusian charge d'affaires in Romania was summoned to the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry due to the statements made by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on the country's Day of National Unity on September 17, Report informs, citing the Romanian ministry.

The ministry said that Lukashenko, in particular, had noted that the United States was pushing Europe into a military conflict with Russia on the territory of Ukraine, and that other states, including Romania, would be directly involved:

"During the meeting, the Belarusian diplomat was informed about Bucharest's position. The Romanian side firmly rejects such unacceptable accusations, which feed the rhetoric based on calls for force and threats of force in international relations."
