Belarus confirmed 273 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the country’s tally to 63,270, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.
Six more fell victim to the virus, bringing the death toll to 418.
Previously, the maximum daily growth in the country reached 973. Recently, the country has experienced a decreasing tendency in COVID-19 cases, as the figure was under 300. As of Friday, the number of detected COVID-19 cases reached 62,997, including 412 reported deaths.
Earlier, Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that Belarus had demonstrated political sanity and popular wisdom. “Healthcare workers are on the frontline fighting the coronavirus infection today. Our healthcare system did a good job. But we are keeping up the fight, although we can say already that we have prevailed. After the final victory over COVID-19, we will meet with our doctors, who are on the frontline today.”
