Almost third of EU population receives first dose of COVID vaccine

Almost a third of the EU population has received the first dose of vaccination against coronavirus, and about 12 percent received both doses, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Stella Kyriakides said at a press conference, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.
“Now more than 30 percent of the EU population have received the first dose, and we have reached an indicator of 12 percent regarding the second dose,” she said.
The European Commission hopes that 70 percent of the adult population in the EU will be vaccinated as early as July.
