Lebanon’s Hezbollah says it shot down Israeli drone

Lebanon's Hezbollah said it had downed an Israeli drone that violated its airspace on Monday as Israeli authorities said the unmanned craft had crashed.

According to a statement released by its TV station Al Manar, the drone, which crashed on Blida village's outskirts in south Lebanon, is now in possession of Hezbollah.

The Israeli military said the drone had fallen in Lebanese territory during an operation near the border demarcation known as the Blue Line and that there was "no breach of information."

The incident comes amid intensifying low-altitude Israeli surveillance flights over Lebanon and less than two weeks after Israel said it downed a drone that entered its airspace from Lebanon.
