6 workers killed by freight train in Northeast China

In a devastating incident, six workers lost their lives when a freight train struck them in China's northeastern Heilongjiang Province on Tuesday. The tragedy unfolded at 1:55 am local time as the workers were carrying out maintenance tasks on the tracks.

Report informs that, according to the China Central Television, two of the workers died instantly at the scene, while the remaining four succumbed to their injuries despite the best efforts of medical professionals.

Chinese law enforcement agencies investigate the cause of the accident.
