Flooding in Nuristan province in eastern Afghanistan killed 58 people, and 140 more are reported missing, Ariana News TV channel reports, citing data from the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Report informs that torrential floods occurred in the village of Meherdish in Kamdish County on Thursday night. Earlier, 40 deaths were reported officially, although some representatives of local authorities announced the deaths of 150 people.
150 houses were destroyed in the disaster area.
