44 people suffer in earthquake in Kazakhstan

The number of victims of the earthquake in Almaty has increased to 44 people, Kazakhstan's Ministry of Health said in a statement, Report informs via Kazakh media.
"With various indications, they were taken to city hospitals. Of them, 34 were adults, 3 of them were hospitalized, 31 people were sent for outpatient treatment," the message says.
Ten children also received medical care, 5 of them were hospitalized, 5 were sent for outpatient treatment.

Eight people received various injuries in the Kazakh city of Almaty as a result of the earthquake. Three of them were injured after jumping from the windows on the second and third floor, Report informs, citing the Almaty Health Department.
"Eight people were injured as a result of the earthquake in Almaty, as of 03:00 (local time) on January 23. All of them were rushed to city hospitals. Three people were injured after they jumped from the second and third floors of residential buildings," the press service said in a statement.
Two of the three victims were sent for outpatient treatment after the examination. The condition of the third patient is assessed as severe and he is hospitalized, the department said. According to the information, five more people were injured while running out of the house. After providing the necessary medical care, they were also sent for outpatient treatment.
According to Kazakh seismologists, the magnitude of the tremors in Almaty was about 5 points. Many city residents then fled their homes, fearing further aftershocks.
