South Korea has recorded 115 new cases of infection with COVID-2019 after the death of another coronavirus patient.
The total number of cases in the country grew to 1,261. Twelve have died, RIA Novosti reports, citing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) under the Ministry of Health.
South Korea earlier declared the highest level of epidemiological threat. According to the Centers, of the new cases, 33 were detected in Daegu, 49 others in Gyeongsangbuk-do, and the rest were from different areas across the country. 12 people died, 24 have recovered, the analyses of another 20,716 people are pending. KCDC also announced that one of the people infected in Gyeongsangbuk-do province was in a group of tourists who recently visited Israel on a pilgrimage.
