10 killed in limestone quarry explosion in India

At least ten workers died on May 8 in a blast inside a limestone quarry in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
The blast occurred in the Mamillapalle village in the Kadapa district, about 291 km southwest of Amaravati.
"This morning, a blast took place in a limestone quarry here after a detonator went off accidentally. Some people have got killed, and their body parts are strewn in the hilly area," an official said.
The cause of the explosion is being investigated.
