Azerbaijani MP accuses PACE of ignoring Armenia’s crimes

At the PACE summer session, member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Ganira Pashayeva raised the issue of Azerbaijani children killed by Armenia.

French Bureau of Report informs that the Azerbaijani MP said that if serious steps had once been taken against Armenia, some of these children would have survived.

Pashayeva urged PACE to refuse double standards: "Council of Europe member,  Armenia occupied 20% of the territories of another member-state of the organization - Azerbaijan and as a result tens of thousands of children became internally displaced and these people still lead the life of forced migrants. We urge you, to fight more seriously on violence against children without any double standards."

The Deputy touched upon the work carried out in Azerbaijan in the field of combating violence against children: "The national strategy for the prevention of child violence is being implemented at a high level in Azerbaijan, the existing legislation is being improved every year."
