French court annuls "charter" signed with Nagorno-Karabakh separatists - EXCLUSIVE

The administrative court of the French department of Val-d'Oise has annulled the “charter” signed by the city of Arnouville with the Armenian separatists of Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to Report's French Bureau, the "document" was signed between the mayor of the French city of Arnouville Pascal Doll and the separatist leader of the residential point of the Khojavand district of Azerbaijan, which is now under occupation by the Armenian armed forces.

The charge against the mayor, who illegally paid a visit to Nagorno-Karabakh and signed the "document", was put forward by the French government in connection with the violation of the article of the law on cooperation with the country's regions. The Administrative Court of Cergy-Pontoise of the French Department of Val-d'Oise, which considered the complaint, ruled against the French Mayor.

Note that in October 2018, the mayor of the French city of Saint Etienne and the head of the municipality Arnouville , without permission from Azerbaijan, illegally visited Nagorno-Karabakh. The French representatives held a series of meetings with the separatists.

After that, the French Ambassador to Baku, Aurélia Bouchez, was summoned to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. She was expressed an official protest against a number of steps affecting the interests, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, including the recent illegal visit to the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region by the mayor of the French city of Saint Etienne and the head of the municipality Arnouville.

Legal and political assessment was given to such steps by the French representatives, the French government was called upon to take effective measures on the activities of individuals and legal entities of this country targeting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the opposite side was presented an official note from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
