EU special representative attends discussions on Nagorno Karabakh conflict in Brussels

Baku. 30 Jan. REPORT.AZ / EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in GeorgiaToivo Klaar took part in discussions on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict organized by the European Policy Center in Brussels.

Report informs that the discussions on "Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the benefits of peace" were held on January 29 in the Belgian capital.

In his speech the EU special representative noted that "Forward looking is difficult, but we should always try”.

Experts from the region such as Amanda Paul, expert of the Center for European policy, Director of the British non-governmental organization Links Dennis Sammut, Executive Director of the analytical center BerlinEconomics Ricardo Giucci also attended the event.

Sammut noted the important role of the European Union in the South Caucasus region.

Managing Director of BerlinEconomics analytical center Ricardo Giucci spoke about the positive economic effect of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement in the region, including in the energy and water sectors, as well as in sphere of financial markets and investments.
