Draft resolutions "Situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan" and "Protracted conflicts in GUAM and their implication for international peace, security and development" are included in the provisional agenda of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.

Report informs that the draft resolutions are included in the agenda of the upcoming session under items 38 and 32, respectively, since they were not discussed during the previous session of the UN General Assembly.

The official opening of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly will be held in New York on September 17. The traditional general debate will take place from 24 to 30 September.

The UN General Assembly is the main advisory body of the UN. It is composed of representatives of all member states, each with one vote. Decisions on important issues such as peace and security or the admission of new members require a two-thirds majority. Decisions on other issues are taken by a simple majority.

An intensive session of the Assembly session is held annually from September to December, which then holds its meetings as necessary.
