Community: Armenia will not be able to hide its crimes

The community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan issued a statement.

The text of the statement included in the Report deals:

"Armenia continues its efforts to divert the world community's attention from the occupation of Azerbaijani territories, ethnic cleansing, crimes against humanity, and the promotion of the so-called regime.

Recently, Armenia sent a letter to the UN, adding a piece of paper on the so-called regime. The issues covered in this piece of writing about missing persons have no basis, and it aims at distorting various aspects of the conflict.

As a result of the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan, a total of 3,889 Azerbaijanis, including 71 children, 267 women, and 326 older people, went missing. Armenia is not interested in determining the fate of missing Azerbaijanis. The reasons for this are clear. Indisputable evidence shows that most of these people were killed or died of torture and disease. Therefore, Armenia seeks to cover up crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, and refuses to cooperate with humanitarian organizations.

We believe that the issue of missing individuals should not be politicized. They should approach from a purely humanitarian perspective. The suffering and uncertainty of hundreds of families must stop.

The fate of the hostages is also of great concern. The Armenian opposition, still holding Azerbaijani civilians Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev as a hostage, who visited graves of their relatives, to the principle of "exchanging captives and hostages" is another clear example of the country's inhumane nature and irresponsible attitude towards human destiny.

As a country suffering from the conflict for many years, Azerbaijan pays special attention to the observance of international humanitarian law provisions and supports international efforts in this area.

Every two years, Azerbaijan submits resolutions to the UN entitled "Missing Persons" and "Release of Women and Children Hostage-Taken in Armed Conflict." The essence of decisions is to contribute possibly to determine the fate of this category of persons.
We state that Armenia, which tries to distort the essence of the conflict in various ways, will not hide its crimes and will have to answer for them. "
