Head of Community: Armenia must extradite Dilgam Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev to Azerbaijan

"Armenia must extradite Dilgam Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev, who were illegally detained in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan," Tural Ganjaliyev, the head of the Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan said.

He said the Azerbaijani government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have a specific position in this regard: "We should apply the principle of 'all for all' and exchange the persons held hostage, which is the convention of international humanitarian law. As for the issue of their meeting with family members, we want Dilgam and Shahbaz to be released and reach their families. Therefore, the invading troops of Armenia must release them since the Armenians hold these persons against their will. They were illegally arrested for visiting the land of their fathers and grandfathers. The central aspect is that Shahbaz and Dilgam should be released. The Azerbaijani state is taking all measures in this direction, and we also raise this issue at all international events in which we take part."
