The people of Azerbaijan are commemorating the martyrs of the Patriotic War.
2,907 Azerbaijani soldiers died in the battles, while seven service members are still unaccounted for.
At the order of President Ilham Aliyev dated December 2, 2020, September 27 was declared the Day of Remembrance as a sign of deep respect for the memory of Azerbaijani soldiers and officers, martyrs, who fought heroically during the Patriotic War and sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
