Zahid Oruj: "Tamerlan Garayev should react to issue on Isa Gambar"

Baku. 30 October. REPORT.AZ/ "A news has recently drawn my attention. One of the former MPs tells a person in the debate how the events in 2003 happened, and Tamerlan Garayev and several reputed people invited  him and asked  to defend Isa Gambar in the presidential election. Tamerlan Garayev would be the chairman of the Constitutional Court in the future in their imaginary government. When I traced that information, I thought that if that was an ordinary statement, that person would react," MP Zahid Oruj said during the discussions of the draft law on "State secret" at today’s plenary session of the Milli Majlis.

According to Report, Oruj underlined that the events of that period were clear to everyone, the unification or separation of some people or allying of the oppositional forces did not affect either the political change in the Azerbaijani society or the fate of the government. "Tamerlan Garayev is currently working as an ambassador. I do not want to express my personal attitude to him. The ambassador must keep the secrets of the state as a diplomatic rapporteur and at the same time support the policy pursued by the head of state and government, he is bound to do it. If someone has a private intention, they can support former Ambassador Arif Mammadov or another person, by creating a political party, defending another person or disagreeing with the current position of power. There can be no change in the power of the government. My goal is that Tamerlan Garayev should react to this news. "
