Baku. 12 October. REPORT.AZ/ "I share the views of MPs regarding the visit of a group of Russian women to Nagorno Karabakh - the occupied territory of Azerbaijan- on October 7. As the Working Group on Azerbaijan-Russia inter-parliamentary relations, we have prepared an appeal containing strong arguments to the chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin, as well as other committees," head of the working group on Azerbaijan-Russia inter-parliamentary relations Ali Huseynli said at today’s plenary meeting of the parliament, Report informs.
"This appeal will be signed by both me and chairman of the Azerbaijan-Russian community Mikhail Zabelin. We wouldn’t like to comment on this issue, but the the visit of the first deputy chair of Russian State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee forced us to do it."
"We have also appealed to the ruling party of Russia as he is the member of this party. We assure you that this issue is in the spotlight. In our appeal we urge the leadership of the Russian State Duma to warn the members against visiting the occupied territories.
