Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament visits Tajikistan

The delegation led by the Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova paid an official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, Report informs, citing the Press and Public Relations Department of the Azerbaijani Parliament.

The delegation includes the head of the Azerbaijan-Tajikistan inter-parliamentary relations working group Aydin Mirzazade, members of the group Azer Badamov, Anatoliy Rafailov and other officials.

The delegation was met at Dushanbe International Airport by Rajabbey Ahmadzadeh, First Deputy Speaker of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan, Alimirzamin Askerov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Tajikistan, Rustam Soli, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan, and other officials.

Meetings of the Speaker of the Milli Majlis with the chairpersons of the upper and lower chambers of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan and other Tajik officials are planned as part of the visit.

At the meetings, the sides will exchange views on the development prospects of inter-parliamentary relations, expansion of cooperation and other issues.

The official visit will end on September 12.
