Parliament speakers of Azerbaijan and Turkey meet in Ankara

The Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova met with the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Şentop on September 11, Report says, citing Milli Majlis.

The sides exchanged views on the prospects of inter-parliamentary relations and the role of parliaments in developing ties between the two countries.

The delegation includes Head of the Working Group on Interparliamentary Relations with Turkey Ahliman Amiraslanov, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense, Security and Combating Corruption Ziyafat Asgarov, MPs Sevil Mikayilova, Fazil Mustafa, Elshan Musayev, Tural Ganjaliyev, Chief of Staff of the parliament Safa Mirzayev and other officials.

The parliamentary delegation visited the Atatürk's Mausoleum (Anitkabir) in Ankara and got acquainted with the city's historical sights.
