Number of Milli Majlis Disciplinary Commission members increased

Baku. 15 November. REPORT.AZ/ The number of members of the Disciplinary Commission of Azerbaijani Parliament has been increased.

Report informs that the issue was discussed at the plenary meeting of the Milli Majlis today.

It was noted that Article 41 (Disciplinary Commission of the Milli Majlis) of the Internal Regulations of the Milli Majlis is amended.

The Disciplinary Commission of the Milli Majlis has been elected from among the members of the Milli Majlis for a term of 7 years, in line with the article. The number of members was increased from 7 to 11. The draft amendment states that the Disciplinary Commission meeting is competent when it is attended by at least 11 members not 4. All decisions of the Disciplinary Commission shall be taken by a simple majority of its members present at its meetings. The relevant opinion is given by the majority (7 votes) of the members of the Disciplinary Commission.
