New bill on political parties adopted in first reading

The new bill on political parties was adopted in the first reading at the Milli Majlis (Parliament) plenary session held today, Report informs.

The bill consisting of 6 chapters and 30 articles, was presented by the deputy chairman of the Milli Majlis, the chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee for Public associations and Religious Organizations, Fazail Ibrahimli.

Later, the deputies voiced their suggestions and opinions regarding the new bill.

After discussions, the new bill was put to the vote and adopted in the first reading.
