There is a need to establish family courts in Azerbaijan, Sadagat Valiyeva, a member of the Family, Women and Children Affairs Committee of the Milli Majlis, said at the committee meeting held in the Parliament on January 18.
The MP proposed to hold hearings in the parliament regarding the marriage contract:
"The name of the marriage contract should be changed and included in the legislation as the marriage agreement. There is also a need for family courts because the existing courts do not have time to investigate the reasons for the breakup of families."
