Ban on promotion of tobacco advertising and sales concretized

Baku. 24 October. REPORT.AZ/ Prohibition on the promotion of tobacco advertising and sales has been concretized.

Report informs that the Law “On Restriction of the Use of Tobacco Products” is amended in this regard.

Under Article 14 of the Law (ban on tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship), use of tobacco in television and video, theater performances, radio, television, video and cinema programs, audiovisual works for children, as well as performances, programs, broadcasting, cable broadcasting showing the process of use of tobacco products is prohibited. Under the supplement to Article, tobacco advertising is forbidden.

The draft amendment will be discussed at the next plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
