Samad Seyidov, the Chairman of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Committee for International Relations and Interparliamentary Connections and head of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, and members of the delegation Rafael Huseynov, Erkin Gadirli, Nigar Arpadarai, Kamal Jafarov, and Sevil Mikayilova will visit the city of Strasbourg, France, on January 20 to participate in the PACE winter session, Report informs, citing the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis.
The reports of the PACE Bureau, the Standing Committee, and the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe will be heard at the session to be held from January 22 to 26. Moreover, some organizational matters will be considered, the results of the observation of the early parliamentary elections in Serbia, the situation in the Middle East and the European region will be reviewed, issues such as systematic torture, inhuman or degrading treatment in European prisons, media freedom in member states, and ensuring the safety of journalists will be discussed, and relevant decisions will be made at the session.
The visit of the MPs will end on January 27.
