A public hearing on paid paternity leave will be held in the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan, the chair of the Milli Majlis Family, Women's and Children's Affairs Committee, Hijran Huseynova, said at the first meeting of the committee held within the autumn session today.
According to her, during the autumn session, the committee plans to hold public hearings on paid paternity leave and the establishment of paternity leave based on gender equality in legislation, the role of local and international legal and regulatory acts in the protection of children's rights in Azerbaijan, and the implementation of a gender-sensitive budget with the participation of the Asian Development Bank and international experts.
