Azerbaijani parliament to discuss budget package for 2019 next week

Baku. 31 October. REPORT.AZ/ On November 5, the Azerbaijani parliament will discuss the budget package for 2019, member of parliamentary committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Tahir Mirkishili told Report.

According to him, the draft laws on ‘State Budget for 2019’, ‘Subsistence Minimum for 2019’, ‘Level of Need Criterion for 2019’, ‘Budget of State Social Protection Fund for 2019’, cost estimates of Parliament and Chamber of Account will be discussed at the joint meetings of the several committees.

After discussion, the draft budget package is expected to be submitted to the plenary meeting of the parliament. The plenary meetings are planned to be held on November 13-14-15-23-30 and be adopted in three readings.

Notably, the 2019 budget revenues are forecasted to make up AZN 22,917,500,000, and expenditures AZN 24,780,100,000.

Level of need criterion for determination of targeted social assistance was set at AZN 143, subsistence minimum – at AZN 180 across the country, AZN 191 for able-bodied people, AZN 149 for pensioners, and AZN 160 for children.

Revenues and expenditures of the budget of the unemployment insurance fund are expected to stand at AZN 83,451,400.

SSPF’s revenues and expenditures will be AZN 3,928,104,000.

According to the draft law, SSPF’s receipts from compulsory state social insurance will make up AZN 2,419,371,590. Funds for budget-financed organizations are forecasted at AZN 811,687,000, employees of budget-financed organizations – at AZN 110,684,590, off-budget sector at AZN 1,497,000,000, individuals engaging in entrepreneurship at AZN 65,000,000 and other revenues at AZN 6,000,000.
