Azerbaijani parliament speaker meets UK PM trade envoy in Azerbaijan

On March 9, Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova met with UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan Baroness Emma Nicholson, Report informs referring to the Public Relations and Press Department of the Parliament.

Emphasizing the positive role of the parliaments in the development of relations between the two countries, Sahiba Gafarova noted that there are good relations between members of the Azerbaijani and the UK supreme legislative bodies, which are manifested in cooperation between parliaments both in bilateral and multilateral formats. Working groups are successfully operating in the parliaments of both countries.

Baroness Emma Nicholson also noted the high level of relations between the two countries and spoke about the achievements made in bilateral relations over 30 years.

At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on expanding cooperation between the two countries in the economic, trade, educational, cultural and other fields.
