On June 22, the draft amendments to the law "On the state budget for 2022" was discussed in the first reading at the plenary session of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan (Parliament).
Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising, Tahir Mirkishili, presented the draft amendments, Report informs.
According to him, the revenues of the revised state budget for 2022 are projected at 29,197.8 million manats ($17,184 million), which is 2,381.8 million manats ($1,401 million) or 8.9% more than the approved figure (26,816 million manats ($15,783 million)).
The revision envisages raising the expenditures of the state budget for 2022 to 32,303.8 million manats ($19,013 million), which is 2,424.8 million manats ($1,426 million) or 8.1% more than the approved figure (29,879 million manats ($17,584 million), and 4,881.4 million manats ($2,872 million) or 17.8% more higher than the actual execution of the state budget for 2021.
Then the draft amendment to the law "On the budget of the State Social Protection Fund for 2022" was discussed in the first reading. According to the draft, it was proposed to increase the indicator defined as the income of the SSPF budget for 2022 by 299,499,497.0 manats ($176.264 million) from 5,306,770,072.0 manats ($3,123 million) to 5,606,269,569.0 manats ($3,299 million), and increase the budget expenditures of the State Social Protection Fund by the same amount from 5,306,770,072.0 manats ($3,123 million) to 5,606,269,569.0 ($3,299 million) manats.
The draft amendments to the law "On the budget of the Unemployment Insurance Fund for 2022" were also discussed in the first reading. Taking into account the proposed amendments, the law envisages increasing the revenues and expenditures of the budget of the Unemployment Insurance Fund for 2022 by 1,000,000.0 manats ($588,587) from 180,375,536.0 manats ($106.166 million) to 181,375,536.0 manats ($106.755 million).
After the discussions, the draft amendments to the laws were put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
