Azerbaijani Parliament adopts amendment that prohibits changing and copying IMEI number of phones 

The amendments to the law on "Telecommunications" of Azerbaijan that prohibit changing and copying the IMEI number of phones have been adopted in the first reading of the parliament.

According to the amendment, in connection with the use of cellular (mobile) services, mobile devices must be registered as determined by the relevant executive authority. It is prohibited to change or copy the IMEI number of a mobile device in order to avoid the registration of a mobile device, as well as to provide telecommunications services to mobile devices (except for mobile devices whose IMEI numbers are on the white page) whose IMEI numbers are on the black page of the mobile device registration system by the mobile operator.
