Azerbaijani Ombudsman asks government for additional funds

The state budget for 2022 is socially oriented, designed to protect human rights and freedoms, Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva said during the budget discussions at a joint meeting of the Parliamentary Committees for Law Policy and State Building, Defence, Security and Counter-Corruption, Human Rights, International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Connexions, and the Disciplinary Commission.
She said that the state provides the necessary support for the adequate protection of human rights.
Besides, Aliyeva noted the need to allocate additional funds for the Ombudsman's supplies to address several issues.
