Azerbaijani official infected with coronavirus

Deputy head of Executive Power of Jalilabad District Aliji Dilaverov tested positive for COVID-19, MP Elman Nasirov told Report.

The MP said he first contacted the deputy head: ‘When I talked to Dilaverov, he said that all employees of the Executive Power were tested. His result was positive for COVID-19.’

Nasirov noted that the Deputy Head was quarantined: ‘He is waiting for the result of the second test before the treatment.’

The MP stressed that Dilaverov has no health issues and he feels well.

On December 31, 2019, Chinese authorities announced an outbreak of pneumonia in the city of Wuhan. The causative agent of the disease is a new type of coronavirus, which has the official name COVID-2019.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a pandemic of a new type of coronavirus in the world.
